Rural fire unit
elects officers
The officers and directors of
the Young County Rural Volun-
teer Fire Department met in
the County Agent’s office re-
cently and elected new officers
and directors for the coming
year.
Nathan Allen was elected to
serve as president in the place
of Si Jeffery of Olney, who ser-
yed the past year. Elmer Hen-
nig of Olney was re-eleeted vice
president as was treasurer C.
F. Harmon of Loving.
New directors are Pete Kunk-
el, Glyn Loftin, Alvin Pender-
grass, James Ranft, Norman
Evans, Kenneth McGee. Other
directors now serving who have
from one to two years tenure of
service remaining are W. F.
Whittenburg, G. C. Hanna, A.
L. Creel, Clint Rutherford, J.
C. Bullock, Joe Shepard, Bill

word received from E. H.
Danner of San Angelo, presi-
dent of the company.
Robinette, a veteran of ah
most 35 years of service with
the General Telephone Co.,
will oversee activities in all
areas of operation with Gen-
eral’s Seymour district which
includes telephone exchanges
in Haskell, Aspermont Kuok
City, Rochester, Rule, Wein-
