making dollars, half-dollars and nickles. J. A. McKEE, U. S. Marshall of Dallas,
took off W. E. SAXTON, one of them, who claims to be from Alabama./ During the
last 24 hours death has claimed three victims, Mrs. E.E. MATTHEWS, an old and
esteemed lady, and two children, Clara BALL and a child of Mrs. WARD, who clerks
for Mr. BALL./ Sherman, Nov. 3: ROUSELL following an argument over a game of ten pins, Bill JACKSON
stabbed a man named ANDERSON, once in the shoulder and once under the shoulder

ABSTON, FITZHUGH, HILL, LONG, STIMSON, WILLIAMS
John ABSTON, the only Revolutionary soldier known to have been buried in
Collin County, Texas, settled near Lavon with his daughter-in-law Sarah ABSTON
and her children, Sarah, Lucy, Mary and Jeriah. Sarah's husband Jesse had
died about 1850 near Melissa, Texas. The old soldier was buried in 1857 in
the Belew Cemetery near Lavon. Would like to record all descendants of the
following couples for inclusion in an ABSTON family history: Gabriel H.
FITZHUGH and Lucy F. ABSTON, married 6 June 1862; Miles Lemuel WILLIAMS and
Mary C. ABSTON, married 9 Nov 1865; Rubin Anderson WILLIAMS and Juriah Jane
ABSTON, married 19 Nov 1869. All three couples were married in Collin County.
Also need data on Henry and Rachel ABSTON who witnessed John ABSTON's pension
declaration. Other names associated with this family are STIMSON, LONG and
HILL.
