cast of eight department veteran
have begun rehearsals for the
department's production of Paul
Slll'i "Story Theatre."
Productions of "Story Theatre"
a collection of vignettes based on
children'! stories are scheduled
for April 22-24 in McMurry's
Ryan Little Theater.
"Story Theatre" is one of only a
few play around which Is aimed
at the entire family Castleberry
said. The stories in the play are
adapted from some of the Grimm
Brothers' fairy tales and a few of
Aesop's fables.
Tina Haley a sophomore from
Abilene will be the assistant
director of the production. She is
the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Robert Haley of 3118 High Mea-
dows and has appeared In several
McMurry productions.
Other Abllenlans in the cast are:
Callie Corthron a freshman from
Wylle and daughter of Mrs.
Nancy Corthron of Buffalo Gap;
Ken Gregg x freshman from
Wylle and son of Mr. and Mrs.
Kenneth Gregg of Route 2; and
Keith Hale a freshman theatre
major and son of Mrs. Barbara
Hale of 317 N. LaSalle.
Other cast members Include:
Harry Starts sophomore theatre
major from Tucson Ariz.; Lisa
Powell senior elementary educa-
tion major from Ruldoso N.M.;
Cathy Sorrells senior speech
major from Kermlt; Victoria
Spanglcr senior theatre major
from Kermlt; and Eddie Llnde-
man freshman theatre major
from Hereford.

go on sale In the near future and

Clubs match wits
in College Bowl
McMurry's annual College Bowl
will be held on Monday and
Tuesday April 19 and 20 from
7:00-10:00 In the Mabce Room of
the Campus Center.
This academic competition Is
sponsored by Alpha Chi. The
contest Is open to all who wish to
enter. Social clubs and other
interested parties have formed
groups of four on a team to
compete.
Questions from every subject
will be asked. Students will have
to push an electronic button
which lights up in response to
their question. There will be a
time limit on answering the
Cole
Mall of Abilene
throughout her career.
SASS. a group composed mostly
of former ACU students has
gained a great deal of local
admiration as well. The group has
appeared regularly at Gardsky's
Loft as well as other local func-
tions. SASS has also toured for
the USO program.
Performing all forms of music
from hard rock to country SASS
has the repertoire to satisfy any
dance crowd.
The 1982 "Spring Thing" week
concludes on Saturday with "Cap
Day." Everyone Is encouraged to
wear a cap. The highlight of the
final day will be a Road Rally
questions.
The competition wilt be a single
elimination tournament. The
Championship team will receive a
trophey and school wlile acclaim.
Dr. Sledge and Dr. Stamey arc
the sponsors of Alpha Chi and will
be heading the college bowl.
Different faculty members will be
present to ask different questions.
The honor society's member-
ship is based on students who are
In the top 10 of their Junior or
Senior class in college. They must
also meet certain qualifications as
set by the faculty.
The college bowl Is open to a
general audience.

beginning at 10 a.m.
The rally is a challenge to
drivers and their teammates to
solve clues which will propel them
Into an adventure throughout the
streets of Abilene.
The object of the rally is to
receive clues which will guide
each team to checkpoints all over
the city.
The Iris Graham Dining Hall
will then treat students to steak at
5 p.m. Saturday. A midnight
showing of the movie ''Chapter
Two" in Radford wraps up the
week of activities.
Admission to the movie will be
free with a McMurry ID.
