Mr. Joa Elias and daughter,
Veeta, received a message that
hie eon. Victor, had a heart attack
in church Sunday morning at
Kaaaae City, Mo. He and several
other men from Houston Mere
attending a business meeting of
his company. He is in St. Mary s
Cahholic Hospital at Kansas City
and will be there at last three
weeks.

The father and son banquet at
the First Presbyterian Church
last Thursday night was well at-
tended, there being approximate
ly 118 persons present. The affair
was sponsored by the Lions Club
and a very entertaining program
had been arranged. The invocation
was spoken by Rev. Arthur John-
son, pastor of the First Baptist
Church.
Rev. Woodrow Jones, pastor of
the First Christian Church was
master of ceremonies.
C. E. Ragsdale was director of
the singing and a number of spe-
cial arranged songs were sung.
Mrs. R. K. Harris sang a solo,
"Sweetest Little Fellow", with
Mrs. E. Clay Williams at the
