PARAMOUNT
The chief attraction offered
at the Paramount next week will
be the showing of "CAROLINA"
featuring Junet Gaynor and Lionel
Barrymore. Fox has combined
one of the finest stories ever' film-
ed with one of the finest arrays of
actors ever engaged for "Caro-
lina" its lulest production. To-
gether with Janet Gaynor and
Lionel Barrymore as stars such as
Robert Young Richard Cromwell
Russell Simpson and others.
The story concerns the old
South where the plantation and
the manor were marks of aristoc-
racy. Into this state of affairs
and into the center of old South
ern pride and aristocracy drops
the charming girl of the north.
The battle between the old aris-
tocracy and the new and youthful
spirit introduced by this stranger
forms a background for what i3
one of the outstanding works in '
screen history.
Is the spirit of llie old South
dead? Has that old aristocratic
armor began to drop off? Con
llie north ever become the com-
panion of the South? These are
questions which Fox s-eeks to set-
tle in "Carolinu" showing Sun-
day Monday and Tuesday.
