Clifton Caldwell and Ray S. Walton gave $2,920 and $2,700, re-
spectively. Guy Caldwell contributed $i,ooo to strengthen the Cald-
well Fund, an endowment that provides income each year to make
awards to Webb Society members. John L. Tullis added $1,ooo to the
Coral H. Tullis Memorial Award Fund. The income from this fund
goes to the winner of the Coral H. Tullis Memorial Award each year
for the best book on Texas history. The Exxon Foundation made a
grant of $1,ooo for the Handbook project. Mrs. Dudley R. Dobie,
Paul G. Bell, Jr., Charles Sapp, Donald S. Thomas, John F. Stephens,
John Henderson, Rainone Gallery, John H. Jenkins, and Jess Hay
each gave $i,ooo or more as Association patrons for 1983-1984.
