HEEP BIG INDIAN
Ii) Mickio Carroll
He's tall dark and is from Tennessee that's enough to put
into parenthesis after any man's name and this Heap Big Indian
is free while and unattached. Now if theie is anv minoi detail
left unstated see Jim McKcnzie foi a personal interview and he
will be more than glad to put you right on any subject concern-
ing himself. No that doesn't necessarily mean he has an ego-
tistical air about him but there is no "beating around the slump
with him." If he knows or believes a thing he says il if he
doesn't he lets the other fellow talk. Mav be its that bit of
frankness that ha won his av into the hearts of his schoolmates
and teachers. Jim seenis to have a whole host of "fans" thai
gladly cheer him from the side lines in the game of tiff he is
playing. We know without a doubt he is plavint; fair and
sipiare anil wouldn't (heat lhoe with whom he has io plav that
game for auv thing.
From all observations it seems Jim came all the way fiom
Tennessee to lake hi place in Mc.Murry's hall of fame. He
can and does fight to the end with all the spirit and strength anv
athlete could manifest and vet he is never satisfied with him-
self. Each time lie stuves just that much harder not to glorif)
his name but instead for his school his coach and his fellow
warriors.
Jim is oui) a Sophomoic with two years to continue winning
laurels for himself but who could not env) that boy with that
"I own the world" stride and that smile that instantly makes
us his booster.
Jim has lettered two veai m football .and knows how to
sink those baskets in the basketball game. He is a member of
the 1. II. Hiaiis and the Thespian Diamatic. Mav we wish this
Indian "much wampum much love and much fight?"
