"The Wedding Night" is a Samuel
Goldwyn production that brings Gary
Cooper and Anna Stcn together for
the first time. It Is a dramatic ro-
mance in which Miss Stcn portrays
the part of a modern American girl
rebelling against the restraints and
dictates of tradition. Cooper appears
as a successful sophisticated New
York author with whom she falls in
love. It is a shaip contrast' to Miss
Sten's other two pictures in Holly-
wood and she emerges thoroughly
American in dress talk and actions.
The film marks another milestone in
the career of Gary Cooper. Others in
the cast are Ralph Bellamy Helen
Vinson and Siegfried. It was directed

And it did loll around;
So now it lolls at the butcher shop
For two bits a pound.

If he could sec her calf?

He met her In the meadow
Ah the sun was sinking low
And they walked nlong together
In the twilight's put pie glow.
She waited patiently
While he let down the burs
And her soft blown eyes
Fell upon htm

But she neither smiled
Nor thanked him

New Problem Arises
Out of Sudden De-
clining Birth Rate
Our school system will be one ot
the lit st Institutions to feel the effect
ol our declining birth rate according
to Dr. Ellen C. Potter of the New
Jersey Department of Institutions and
Agencies.
Dr. Potter told the Pennsylvania
Emergency Child Health Committee
tho other day that In 1940 there will
bo 1000000 fewer children In Ametl-
can schools than thcro are now. As
early as next fall the decline will be
felt she predicted in fewer first grude
tcgistratlons.
This will bting our schools a brand-
new problem different from nny they
have faced before. Tho average school
board has had to meet a steadily ex-
panding population. It has had the
spector of over-crowding always on
; its horizon.
' If in the future it must adjust its
policies to u slow steady decline In
numbers it will find that Its whole
program may need overhauling.

others because I am made only of mild fra-
grant expensive center leaves. I don't permit
a single sharp top leaf nor a single coarse bot-

mildness. I do not irritate. To loneliness I
bring companionship. I am the best of friends.
