church presented tho tuneful Can-
tata "Tho Everlasting Light" by

Impression on the 'listeners.
Especially beautiful were the
numbers "Bethlehem" and "Tho
Virgin'; Lullaby." Tho solo parts
of these numbers wore sung by

Miss Edna Germany.
Mrs. Denman'fl voice was beau-

tho choir that accompanied her.
In tho arl.i "And There Were
Shepherds" Mrs. Stoke displayed
a voice of beautiful quality und
sang In a manner that was a credit
to herself and her Instructor.
The Central Methodist choir un-

First Team Since 1917 Sh owa Many PotaibiUtitf.
By winning the opener of the scm -
son with the fast Denton Normal
Five the HIM Billy basket ball stock
took a Jump on ";";';'. The form
displayed by the Hill Billies although
far from perfect was as much a sur-
prise to them us to their supporters.
The lltll Billies entered the g.ime
decidedly the underdogs hut emerged
with first victory and played n good
game the second night despite the
fact that they lot.
The Denton r.ngles were runners up
In the T. I. A. A. last year and dis-
played their best form Inst Saturday
night when they defeated the Hill
Billies.
The Daniel Baker supporters nre
well satisfied with the showing of the
Goats in these two contests. Denton
had experience long practice and a
number of practice games behind them
at the hrghmlng of these contests
and all the Hill Billies td was the
desire to win as they lacked experi-
ence practice and had played no prac-
tice games.
With these games behind the Hill
Billies are working hard and are try-
ing to round Into some form before
they meet the Simmons cagers next
Monday and Tuesduy night at the
Memorial Hull.
