Description

Photograph of Collin County Courthouse in McKinney, TX. The courthouse is made of faded orange bricks and resembles a cube in its general shape, though multiple sections project outwards from the rest of the building. One side of the building with a simple entrance of stairs and one door faces the right side of the photo while a more intricate entrance consisting of double doors set into a projecting section of the building serve as the base for four tall columns, which hold up a portion of brick wall with a clockface in its center. A second clockface is visible at the top of the right-facing side of the courthouse, similarly set into a brick wall that runs along the edge of the building's flat roof. Three rows of windows span the width of the courthouse's sides, with a fourth row of smaller windows running along the base of the walls near the ground. Spanning from bottom of the left entrance's stairs to the bottom of the right entrance's stairs is a curving, gravel-filled portion of ground bordered by a curb. Parking meters spaced at regular intervals line along the curb and have two cars parked near them, one on each side of the photo. A third car almost entirely disappears off-camera as it drives off the right side of the image. Within the gravel area the parking meters occupy are two simple benches, each with a person holding a bicycle standing nearby. A leafless tree grows next to the bench on the right.
