The cover of the book has the words "Home Pantomime Toy Book" at the top, the second word is red and the rest baby blue. Most of the page is an illustration of a clown, with an officer to its left and a woman behind him with a man in a color outfit by him, and someone laying under the white orb the clown is sitting on. In the orb is the book title in orange/red. The bottom of the cover has a further description of the books contents that says "Five Set Scenes & Nine Trick Changes." Image 2, illustration inside the book. The illustration is of an audience watching a play inside of a theater, the set they are watching of giant tree trunks with faces, a man in a yellow an orange suit and black hat pointing at them. Above the stage parts of the red curtain can be seen with an intricate and decorated wall above the stage.

Notes

This image was taken to document objects used in the exhibit "the Great Menagerie: The Wonderful World of Pop-up and Movable Books, 1811-1996" which was on display in the Rare Book Room of Willis Library from November 1997 to February 1998.
