Photocopy of a script from the WBAP-TV/NBC station in Fort Worth, Texas, relating a news story. The script reads, "Residents of the Dallas -- of Irving -- to the polls yesterday and voted by a better -- 1 -- to allow the City to issue revenue bonds to build a new -- for the Dallas Cowboys. This was the second vote on the matter for Irving residents. Last year, the voters also approved the selling of bonds for construction of Texas Stadium, but the sale was halted after one resident Howard Curren filed suit against the City. However, Curren agreed to drop his suit, in return for the new election. 7,805 residents cast ballots in yesterday's elections: 5,366 in favor ... 2,439 against. The election spelled out specific financial details for building the stadium. The 65,000 seat stadium to cost about 20 (M) million dollars will feature a sliding roof so the field may be covered in bad weather. COwboy owner Clint Murchinson, Jr., said he hopes the stadium will be constructed by late 1970. He has previously announced plans to put in a bid for the Super Bowl game to be played -- stadium."
