A set of minutes for the meeting of the Highway Committee, Abilene Chamber of Commerce, from Jesse F. Winters, Chairman and John Womble, Secretary of Highway Committee, dated April 28, 1950. The present status of the highway construction program in Abilene was explained by Manager John Womble and District Highway Engineer S. J. Treadaway. The committee passed a resolution regarding to speed the completion of U. S. Highway 80 from Abilene to Baird.
