Explosive-Engine.

Description: Patent for "an improved engine of the internal combustion type, in which the explosion occurs between two oppositely moving pistons arranged in a cylinder and connected with independent crank shafts." (lines 13-17). The engine also includes a new type of valve gear with mechanically triggered valves and an apparatus for the forced water cooling of the engine.
