Description: A letter written to Reverend Jeff Davis, Dallas, Texas, from T. N. Carswell, dated May 25, 1942. Carswell confirms that Davis should be at the Abilene Field Day on June 14. Description: A letter written to Dr. R. G. Lee, President, Southern Baptist Convention, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, from T. N. Carswell dated May 18, 1949. Carswell criticizes the Buchanan report; "My concordance and I are unable to find in the New Testament any authority for the setting up of a Baptist oligarchy"; he advises that the report "be permanently stored in a polar cache" which is comparable to the atmosphere "in Southern Baptistdom" that would be created if the proposal was adopted.
