Local art program in fifth year

Description: A newspaper clipping featuring an article on Pilot Point ISD, participating for five summers in the North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts. During the institute they were taught comprehensive art activities and explored the relationship of art in museums and schools. Discipline-based art education is a national movement to try and reform education by expanding art education programs and incorporating the arts within the general education of schoolchildren.
