Description: Typed interview from Mary Ellen Mowinckle (later Johnson) talking about her time as a teacher at Eanes Rock Schoolhouse. Mowinckle recalls how she acquired the position and the times she spent teaching and disciplining her students, as well as the time that a case of Measles broke out and only two students were able to come to class.

[Rock Spring School 1903]

Description: Photograph of a group of school children posed with their teacher outside in front of the exterior wall of a wooden building. Most of the group are standing except four boys on their knees in the foremost row. Each of the group members has a number written in blue pen on the photo that corresponds to names listed on the back. Text written on the bottom edge of the photo mat reads, "Rock Spring School, about 1903, Miss Maggie Adair Teacher". The same phrase is repeated on the back.
