World War I Scenes

Description: Copy negative of two pictures from World War I with notes printed on them in French. The top picture is of the Port of Ferriere in Martigues with the canal and boats on the right, and a road and buildings on the left. The bottom picture is of the ruins of a structure in a field after the Battle of the Ourcq, part of the First Battle of the Marne.

[Postcard of Port at Saint-Nazaire]

Description: Postcard of an illustration of a channel of water with a steam ship moored between two crane bridges. Groups of people mill around the concrete docks on either side of the channel, which leads to a larger harbor. A town with two-story buildings surrounds the harbor and channel. French text at the top of the postcard identifies the port as part of the shipyards in Saint-Nazaire in Brittany. The other side of the postcard is blank except for postcard markings.
