Description:
Photograph of the back of a monument commemorating the German-Americans who died at the Nueces Massacre. The monument is a square column of white stone with a flat-topped obelisk-like column above, with German text and a list of 19 names on the visible side. It is surrounded by a multi-chain fence with obelisk-shaped posts and the back of the historic marker is visible at the left side of the enclosure. Trees and buildings are visible in the background, as well as part of High Street, at left.
