Description: Silver pocket watch owned by JHP Davis. Some of Davis's cattle brands are inscribed on the covers of the watch. The front cover is inscribed with the "JHD" brand, the back cover with the "Umbrella J" brand. Both covers are elaborately engraved. The face of the watch bears the mark of the "ELGIN NATIONAL WATCH CO." Time is demarcated with roman numerals, with a secondary, smaller hand marking off seconds.

George Ranch is listed in the bottom right corner of the page (23). In this particular article, the "Ballenger Farms" cattle were featured. The Ballenger Farm information was marked through with a black crayon.
