The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an oral interview with Francis Thomas. Thomas graduated from the Naval Academy in 1925 and served on a cruiser in China and the Philippines. He was a research officer at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, D.C., and participated in the development of sonar.
