He heard three rifle shots after the motorcade had turned a corner ahead of him, and proceeded to enter the Texas School Book Depository to search for the source of the shots.

Description: Handwritten statement by Mrs. R. A. Reid. Reid worked for the Texas School Book Depository and took a lunch break at 12 PM on November 22nd. She went outside to watch the parade and heard three shots. She returned to the office on the second floor and saw Lee Harvey Oswald coming through the back office door. At the time she did not know his name. He mumbled in response to her exclamation that the president had been shot at and she did not see him again.
