Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson in the upcoming election on November 8, 1960. The letter argues that if all of the Hispanic Americans in Texas vote for the democratic ticket, it may decide which way the state votes, since the rest of Texas is fairly split between the Republican and Democratic tickets.
