Tower concept drawing

Description: Copy print of concept artwork for the proposed Tower of the Americas by architect O'Neil Ford, a 750-foot, 4.5 million dollar structure containing an observation tower/restaurant located in San Antonio, Texas. The tower would contain 3 elevators, have a capacity of 17,500 persons and facilities that would include 2 observation decks, food vending machines, gift shop, post office, a main level, mezzanine and a club level.

Architectural drawing of the Tower of the Americas

Description: An aerial drawing of the Tower of the Americas and HemisFair '68 fairgrounds. Printed at the bottom of the image: "Tower of the Americas - Dominating the center of the 92-acre site of HemisFair 1968 in San Antonio will be this 622-foot tower. From the revolving restaurant and observation levels, 1,750 visitors an hour will view the surrounding countryside. The Texas World's Fair opens April 6, 1968."

Building : Tynan House

Description: Letter to accompany the transcript of a meeting held August 24, 1965 about HemisFair '68. The letter, from Jim Glass, is addressed to one of the fellow meeting attendees, Mr. Allison Peery. Mr. Peery was one of the site planning architects for HemisFair. The letter is written on "Culberson, Slaughter, Glass & DuBose, inc." letterhead.

134 South Lot No. 144- single family dwelling

Description: Photographs of home that was at 134 South Street, San Antonio, in an area that was redeveloped because of HemisFair '68. The home is single story with front porch extending across the front, and two windows on each side of the front door. A fence in front of the house is covered with overgrown foliage. The first image is of the front of the house and the second shows the front and one, with cars parked at the side fo the house.
