Description:
Patent for an improvement of metallic railroad ties in which clamp-plates are not needed to hold the longitudinal tension-rods, “instead the heads of the rods bear against the solid outer ends of the rail-seats which are constructed integral with the body of the tie.” (Lines 14-17) Illustration is included.
