He later goes on to talk about dances he attended and says that a woman named Gertrude said that "nearly everybody thought that I was the prettiest dancer."

Implement for Replacing Inner Tubes of Pneumatic Tires.

Description: Patent for a device for replacing the inner tubes of pneumatic tires, designed especially for bicycle tires. The device "will take hold of the end of the inner tube without liability of cutting it, and that will grip it with a degree of tightness proportionate to the amount of force required to pull it through the outer casing" (lines 41-45). This is easier than previous methods of replacing inner tubes.
