The Four-gore skirt was made of ebony leaves which was accentuated with a tangerine-colored blouse of finely clipped aster-glow bougainvillea petals. Her bolero jacket was of white bachelor buttons. An ornamental pin of bachelor buttons was sprinkled wiht glitter. Hat with rolled brim was decorated with flowers, to represent a feathered plume, and purse, gloves and shoes were of crused ebony leaves. Narrow belt of clipped boungainvillea matched the blouse and earrings were fashioned of the silvery, reverse side of cenizo leaves.

Peeled grapefruit seeds to represent small pearls & poinsettas petals composed her fan. Her jewelry was fashioned from peeled grapefruit seeds, Club members worked 296 hours on the dress as each tiny membrane was sectioned, washed, wiped, and dried individually.

This ensemble used tepehuaje leaves to make the dress with polka dots of grapefruit membrane which was also used to make the collor and the gloves. The feathered hat, purse, and jewelry were fashioned from Chinese hat blossoms. Made in 272 hours. It took 20 pints of tepehuaje leaves, 1 bushel of grapefruit and 5 quarts. Chinese hat blossoms. Cost $21.48.
