Pedal Attachment for Velocipedes.

Description: Patent for a new and useful safety attachment “for the pedals of bicycles, tricycles, and other wheeled vehicles operated by the feet through the medium of pedals.” (Lines 9-11) This attachment will form a long bearing for the foot of the rider, thus avoiding dead-centers in the revolutions of the cranks, and to provide means for preventing any slipping of the pedals.” (Lines 12-16) Illustration is included.

Nut-Lock.

Description: Patent for a nut-lock that is meant to be screwed onto a bolt, threaded shaft, axle spindle, or other similar screws. The nut has an improved construction and a lock that consists of a tiny pin that must be pulled out before the nut can be unscrewed.

Harness-Pad Hook.

Description: Patent for a harness-pad hook meant to attach the pad to the harness for gig-saddles. The hook "will be capable of adjustment to suit the size of the gig-saddle with which it is used, to the end that the hooks may be manufactured after all the same pattern" (lines 14-18). The hook won't damage the gig-saddle and the hook has finger-grasps.
