Patent for invention for the improvement of attachments for thimbles. "The objects of the invention are to produce a device of simple construction for cutting the thread when sewing that can be readily applied to old as well as to new thimbles; also to produce the device in such manner that the thread can be quickly and conveniently cut at any desired point in an expeditious manner " (lines 17-24).
