Agricultural Implement.

Plow.
Patent for a new and improved plow. This design consists in "the combination of the beam, the parallel horizontal arms pivoted to the top and bottom of the beam and projecting beyond the sides of the same, the vertically-slotted brackets secured between the beams at the ends of the same, the cultivator-beams arranged between the upper and lower horizontal arms, and the securing bolts inserted transversely through the beams and the slots of the brackets" (lines 59-68).
Propeller-Wheel.
Patent for a propeller-wheel for steam and other vessels. This invention is meant "to provide a propeller by which a maximum speed may be obtained without a proportionate increase in toe motive power employed" (lines 15-18). It doesn't have a lateral resistance of water and does not diffuse water in all directions.
Railway Rail Tie.
Patent for a new and improved railway-rail tie. This design consists "of a railway-rail tie provided with a transverse recess, projection, the transverse slots, and the apertures leading from the recesses to the slots, the retaining-blocks fitting in the apertures, and keys working in the slots and adapted to press the retaining-blocks against the flange and web of the rail" (lines 71-78).

Screen-Operating Mechanism for WIndow-Screens.
Patent for a screen-operating mechanism for window-screens. It is meant to hide the mechanism from view and to improve the way the screen is raised and lowered. It also moves the "upper sash in one direction moves the screen in the reverse direction, the construction being such that the motion-transmitting gearing does not in any manner interfere with the use of ordinary window-sashes balanced by weights or springs, or the use of sashes of which the upper one only is movable" (lines 24-30).
