The man on the left wears a pale cowboy hat with a feather on its left side, a light letterman jacket with a sticker and a pinned paper, and a white collared shirt. The pinned paper says "Judge Terlingua 1982" with stars on either side of "Judge". The man has white hair and a wrinkled face that looks directly at the camera. In the center of the trio is another man with white hair and a wrinkled face, though he looks ahead off-camera. The center man also has a mustache and wears a darker cowboy hat with a band that's decorated with a circular pin and a tiny Texas flag. Additionally, the center man wears a white button-up shirt with an object in the pocket on the right that has a bulbous top with a thinner stem extending downwards from it. The third person, to the right of the center man, is a woman wearing a cowboy hat with numerous feathers at its front, large glasses, necklaces, and a decorated white button-up shirt. The shirt has on it a pinned paper identifying the woman as a Terlingua judge, a patch with a rabbit on it, a button with the image of a train, a small hard hat pin, and a paper page with a drawing of a cowboy on horseback lassoing a cow next to the words "Here cum de judge". The woman looks directly into the camera. Behind the trio is a wall with a mostly obscured sign on it and wooden beams above, shading the area below. In the top right corner of the photo, farther into the background, is a rocky hill with a person sitting while a second person walks at the hill's base.
