Now that school is out, he mentions, it is about time she write him a few lines. He informs her of the weather at present for the summer season, closes the letter by noting that he will write a better letter next time,and sends love to all his kin. He hand writes an aside on top which notes that he will be unable to visit her due to his employment and the approaching cotton harvest. The envelope is included with the letter.
