Photograph of a gas mask time card from World War I, held by UNT Special Collections. A small card is folded in two and propped open with a blank table on it. In front of it is a worn, brown square envelope with a couple of holes on the front of it. The card that accompanies the mask is meant to be used to keep track of the amount of time the mask is worn, so that the wearer will know when to replace the charcoal for optimal air purification.
