Photograph of an adobe house in 1910 located and surrounded by a wooden fence on the El Boracho Ranch. A ladder leans against the structure. The owner of the ranch was Lino Baeza. He raised goats and cows and horses. His fields were watered by the nearby creek. He grew corn, wheat, beans, peas, watermelons, sweet potatoes, peanuts, sugar cane, and pumpkins which were all watered by the creek.

Two of the deer have been split open and an older man in the center of the photograph is cutting the third. Another man, dressed casually, is watching him work. To the far right, there is a covered buggy or wagon that is unhitched and parked. Behind the men, there is a white spotted dog lying on the ground and a white building, presumably a house. In the background there appear to be mountains. A handwritten note on the back of the photograph says "Geo Gleim & Nick Mansfelder hunting on Joe Espy Ranch north of Ft. Davis, Texas."

Alabama Land Deed with President Buchanan's Signature
Photograph of a Alabama land deed for 220 acres belonging to Garrison Deens. it is signed by President James Buchanan on November 1, 1858. Mr. Deens sold this land to James O. Sellers in 1859 or 1860. Mr. Sellers was Ethel Bryant's grandfather. This photo was included in a research paper by Mike Shurley for an American History class at Marfa High School in 1968.
