Journal written by Blanche Avant titled, "Church History, Book IV," about the history of the Episcopal church. The final pages of the journal contain recipes.

All of the people are fairly dressed up - the men are wearing suits and ties, the women are wearing blouses and skirts. All of the people are wearing hats or bonnets. In front of the people there are several long logs laying on the ground; a young boy is sitting on one of them in the left side of the photograph. There are some tall grasses or other plants visible behind the people. A handwritten note on the back of the photograph reads, "About 1902. Sun bonnets. Lee Evans."

The ground in front of them is covered in short grass and there is a small bush. In the background, there are some other trees. To the left, there appears to be a covered wagon, and to the far right, there is a white tent.
Photograph of Fealon Vaun Christian and John Prude standing outside of the Prude and Hood General Store. This store was between Mansfield and Logansport, Louisiana. It had everything from lace to snuff tp licorice. It had a huge bar inside, and the store served people from miles around. A cotton gin was to the west side of the store (back and left) where everyone brought their cotton to be ginned. The stor had advertising signs across the front. This photo was included in a research paper by Mike Shurley for an American History class at Marfa High School in 1968.
