Sam Laney Tire Company and Service Station

Description: The Sam Laney's Tire Company and Service Station located at 502 N. Locust. The station originally opened in 1931 as the Laney & Craven Road Service Station and offered "washing, polishing and greasing," as well as being a Texaco Service Station. The name changed to Sam Laney sometime between 1932 and 1933. They began offering Firestone products in 1933. It later became the John Rochelle Station around 1942 and 1944.

Smith-Carroll Hall built by the Woman's Home Mission Socity of the North Texas Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church

Description: Smith-Carroll Hall of Texas Woman's University is visible behind a rock ledge, flowers, and trees. Ivy covers one side of the building.
