Award certificate issued to T. V. Munson in recognition of his display illustrating all of the parts of the grape vine, with other documentation about viticulture. There is detailed text in the center of the certificate describing the exhibit, surrounded by extensive illustrations. Among the images, there is a canoe at the bottom with a series of seals on the side with persons in the boat representing various cultures; at left, a woman is holding a trumpet and lifting a laurel wreath; and at the top, another woman is reclining against a buffalo (left) and reaching out toward an image of a large building while watching Native American boys play (right).
[Certificate of Award: Best Exhibition of Grape Vines, 1885]
Certificate awarding a "first degree of merit" to T. V. Munson for "Best Exhibit of Grape Vines" at the World's Industrial and Cotton Centennial Exhibition. The text is surrounded by a decorative border and by illustrations of Native Americans with a shield and a bald eagle (center, top) and of a group of Greek women (center, bottom).

Ledger with a decorated title page containing handwritten notes by T.V. Munson, including texts that he wrote for speeches and editorials, diary entries, planning notes and sketches (including floorplans and house exteriors), lists of fruit varieties, and various other personal notes.

Bound blank book containing 16 illustrations of plants, insects, sea shells, and a bird that are identified by Latin binomial nomenclature, often with a common-name label as well. The images are a mix of color and pencil-only and each one has a tissue page to separate it from the previous page. Two images include more information, indicating that they were drawn in 1872.
[Columbian Exposition Medal]
Souvenir medal from the world's fair in Chicago. One side has an image of Christopher columbus wearing armor, with his arms outstretched as he makes landfall, with the text "Christopher Columbus Oct-XII MCCCCXCII" at right. On the reverse, there are a number of images around the central text: "World's Columbian Exposition in Commemoration of the Four-Hundredth Anniversary of the Landing of Columbus. MDCCCXCII - MDCCCXCIII to T.V. Munson." Images include (at top) a globe with an angel on either side, one with a trumpet and the other marking the globe with a brush; beribboned lit torches on either side of the central text box; and (at bottom) Columbus' ship with unfurled sails.
[Louisiana Purchase Exposition Bronze Medal]
Round commemorative medal featuring a bald eagle with wings outspread, holding up a box with the text: "Bronze Medal, Louisiana Purchase Exposition." Below the text box are two fishes and a shell. On the reverse, there are two female figures, at left, a woman wearing a helmet and holding a U.S. flag out behind her, next to a partially-naked woman removing cloth decorated with bees. Text around the outside of the image says: "Universal Exposition Saint Louis United States of America, MCMIV."
World's Fair of Paris 1889: Commemorative Certificate
Certificate from the 1889 World's Fair in Paris commemorating an exhibit of vines by Thomas Munson. The text is bordered by detailed illustrations including cherubs or angels at the top, on either side of a coat of arms labeled "equality"; columns on either side with dates and text labels 1789 at left (with "liberty" at the top and "commerce" at the bottom) and 1889 at right (with "brotherhood" at top and "industry" at bottom); and book below the text, held open by a branch and ribbon.
[American Pomological Society Medal]
Round medal with a left-facing bust portrait in the center, labeled "H. Mitchell, Sc." with text around the outside: "American Pomological Society - Founded 1848 - Marshall Pinckney Wilder, Pres." On the reverse, there is a basket at the bottom, with images of grape leaves and fruit around the outside; in the center, text has been etched: "Prof. T. V. Munson for 12 Seedling and Texan Grapes ~1885~."
[French Exposition Medal]
Souvenir medal from the world's fair held in Paris, featuring a number of symbolic images. On one side, there is a woman seated beneath a tree, holding out a laurel crown to a man at left; at the bottom is an image of the exposition space with the Eiffel Tower. Text around the image says "Exposition Universelle" around the edge and the year, 1889, near the center. The other side has an angel blowing a trumpet in a tree, below a star, with her arm around the bust of a person wearing laurels (at right). Text at left says "Republicque Française" and a decorative box below has the name "F. U. Munson."
