The plant is surrounded by a short, chain-link fence on all sides except where the main gate is open on the right side of the image. The plant was constructed during the 1930s and was eventually demolished in the 1960s.

- Photograph of An aerial view of Austin Municipal Golf Course, donated to the city in 1936 by the Austin Lion's Club. The club house is visible in the center of the image, with holes surrounding. The municipal Golf Course, constructed originally by the Lions Club in 1928 at 2901 Enfield Road, has served its citizens since 1934 and has long been Austin's most popular course.

Johnson Construction and is seventy feet wide by seventy five feet long, and runs three feet to seven feet and six inches deep. The photo is of the shallow end of the pool. Two cars are parked in near the pool. A lifeguard sits underneath a rules notice.

- Photograph of swimmers at the swimming pool at the Rosewood Park for Negroes. Because of an extensive remodeling and enlargement program, Rosewood Pool opened its swimming session on June 19, but even with this late start, attendance for the rest of the season totaled 73,155. The completed pool measures 70' x 125' plus an adjacent wading pool that is 20' x 40', giving a combined total of 9,550 sq. ft. A water filtering system was installed with a 3-gallon per minute filter rate. The pool has a 350,000 gallon capacity with a 6-hour turnover. Other improvements include underwater lights in the deep end of the pool. Total cost of improvements was about $68,000.
