His Hebrew neighbor gives him an evangelistic tract: "The Book of Genesis." Reading Genesis through Enkidu's eyes, what would have struck him as profoundly revolutionary? Today's readers cannot fully appreciate the nature of Genesis until they read it through ancient-Mesopotamian glasses."
