Lining for Tin Cans.
Patent for a new and improved method of canning seafood with tin cans. This design calls for perforated paper to line the cans, which prevents the discoloration of the seafood inside.
Wagon Bow Socket.
Patent for new and improved wagon-bow sockets. This design "furnishes a firm support for the [wagon] bow at both top and bottom of the socket, by which it is evident it will be rigidly secured against all lateral motions" (lines 38-41). This eliminates the "unsightly appearance, leaking, and other defects of the uneven height of bows so often resulting from the use of ordinary staples" (lines 44-47).
Water Elevator.
Patent for a new and improved water elevator. This design "is to provide each bucket with a weighted back; also, in the manner of connecting the chains thereto, so that the necessity of the employment of a weighted wheel is obviated" (lines 20-24). This design calls for blocks or pins of different values, and rather than try to knock down these pins, the object of the game is to move them from their designated starting positions. Further, a pit or gutter behind the pins receives the ball after it is thrown, and it redirects it back down toward the players by way of a perpendicular gutter to which it is connected.

The design calls for being "attached to the scales . . . that is, in the most convenient and agreeable position for the weigher. Patent for a new and improved saw mill dog. This design "is an improvement in the class of dogging apparatus which is affixed to one of the knees of a head-block of the log-carriage" (lines 8-11). The improvement consists in the combination and arrangement of parts, specifically "the notched dog and adjustable slotted drop-catch with the slotted moveable dog-bar and base-stand" (lines 77-79).

Patent for an improvement in water-coolers wherein the vessel for holding the water is surrounded with fibrous material that is kept saturated with water, the evaporation of which will absorb the heat from the water contained in the vessel in a manner well known to science.

Patent for a new and improved knockdown chair. This design of a knockdown chair (a chair that isn't fully assembled until at its destination so that it may be collapsible, saving space until then) marks improvements over previous models. This design calls for side-rails that extend through the mortises and countersunk apertures so that the ends of the side-rails can expand in the countersinks.
Mattress Making Machine.
Patent for a new and improved mattress making machine. This design calls for a box with a hinged door and gauges that adjust the box to the desired width for mattress making. Additionally, slats at the bottom of the box and along the inside of the hinged lid have straps and pins that one uses to bind the mattress material after it fills the box.
Sprinker.
Patent for a new and improved pesticide sprinkler for cotton plants. This design "provid[es] . . . a relief-valve, so that should the nozzle become stopped up at any time this valve will open and let the fluid escape through the piston without doing any harm to the pump or stopping the vehicle" (lines 14-19).

Patent for a new and improved vehicle wheel. This design features "the construction and combination of parts whereby the spokes may be adjusted radially outward, and also forced tightly around the axle-box, to compensate for shrinkage" (lines 11-15).
