Description: Letter from (Captain?) N. W. Shaw, commander of the 45th Company, Fifth Marine Regiment, to the commander of the Second Marine Brigade. Shaw discusses the wounding of a Carlos Gutierrez, the whereabouts of a Jose Santos Rivera and his arrest warrant, a retaliatory killing for the theft of a cow, and a list of persons believed to be bandits.
