The Longhorn Division of Thiokol Chemical Corp. made the first of three donations to the building fund for Marshall Public Library in 1972. Herschel Q. [1973 vacation bible school class]

Photograph of the 49th Annual Vacation Bible School Class of July 23 to 27, 1973, held by the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Beaumont, Texas. Appearing in the photograph are children and adults. The class provided religious instruction through bible stories and songs as well as youth entertainment through games, movies and handicraft activities. [Library Display Honors the Nation's Bicentennial]

Mrs. Dorothy Morrison, Marshall Public Library Director, presents a display to honor the nation's Bicentennial in 1976. The Liberty Bell replica was donated to the library by Marshall National Bank on July 1, 1976. The librarian holds a copy of the Declaration of Independence.
