Lykke and his wife Hanna with Carl Harton regarding the sell of 70 acres of land in Wharton County, which was sold to Carl for a total sum of $8,298.12. The document goes on to give specific payment schedules and other relevant information. The deed is held together with a second document, a smaller piece of paper that was signed by a notary of Wharton County authenticating the transaction.

Legal document inaugurating the Danish Mutual Insurance Company's corporate membership, filed through the Secretary of State's office in Austin, Texas, and signed under a notary. The document specifies a twenty year lifetime minimum and the seven men of the first board of directors who will be in charge of insuring both Wharton and Matagorda counties. They are as follows : Neils Christian Jensen, Marcus Nielsen, Helvig Jensen Berndt, H. P. Hermansen, Jasper J. Juhl, Marcus Christensen, and Niels M. Hansen.

Agerskov Petersen is the man with the three piece suit on the left, and Verner Petersen is the young boy on his lap. The other names have not been properly matched. Behind that, the walls bear two large framed bust portraits and other small family memorabilia.

Photograph of an alter and baptismal font inside the Ansgar Church of Danevang, Texas. The shaft of the baptismal front has been ornamented with rounded bands and supports a rounded basin. Behind it, a wooden step leads up to an alter flanked by wooden furniture. The alter is composed of a wooden table covered by a tablecloth with an ornamented design trim. Two floral arrangements and two candle-holders are on each side of the tabletoo. A seven-branched candelabrum has been placed directly on the center of the table, which stands before a large framed painting of religious icons engaging with a leaning figure. The painting's frame is topped by a cross. Hand-written text in pencil on the back of the photograph cannot be read with certainty. A black stamp indicates, "Danish Heritage Society P. O. Certificate of naturalization given to Helvig Jensen Berndt by the United States Department of Commerce and Labor. A black and white illustration of an eagle emblem is at the very top, flanked by the title of the document. The text on the page gives the names of Helvig's children and wife as well as a short physical description of Helvig. There is hand-written text on the back of the document which reads, "H. J. Berndt is U. S. Citizen since May 4, 1908."

Declaration of Intention given to Andrew Jensen from the Bureau of Immigration and Naturalization. Signed in the county of Matagorda, the document declares Andrew's intention to become a natural citizen of the United States. It renounces his citizenship in Denmark and the King Frederick VIII. An embossed seal can be seen on the bottom left corner.
Threshing Rice on O. R. Johnson's Rice Farm
Photograph of a group of men outdoors threshing rice on a rice farm one mile east of El Campo (this information is repeated on the back of the photograph's mat in hand-written text). The farm belonged to O. R. Johnson. The actual thresher is on the far right of the image, a large machine with several wheels and a conical pipe on its leftmost side. To the left, there are horses, some being ridden, while others appear to be harnessed to various equipment. Several bales of rice surround them on the floor. Hand-written text on the back of the photograph in blue ink reads: "Threshing rice on O. R. Johnson's rice farm 1 mile east of El Campo Tex. H. J. Berndt. Danevang, Texas. Please return to A. E. Berndt Danevang Tex. CIRCA 1912."

Photograph of an adult man and woman and a baby, who is being held by the man, identified as Pastor John Ravn. They are standing outdoors next to a large bush, behind which there appears to be a house, as the top part of a roof can be seen behind the Pastor. The woman wears a long dress with three-quarter length sleeves and is looking away from the camera to the baby. Pastor John wears a hat, waistcoat, and slouchy pants. The sheet of paper where the photograph has been pasted to informs us that "he came to Danevang 23 May, from Denmark stayed just a little over a year. Went to Hampton, Iowa [sic]." It also lists the name of his spouse, Magdelene Hansen, who may or may not be the woman in the photograph.

Black and white postcard that has on its front side a portrait of a man identified as John Nielsen. He is wearing a heavy jacket with a sweater, a shirt, and a tie underneath. His right forearm is poised in front of his torso. On the back side is a note written in pen by John to his friend Christine. Because of some discontinued text, it appears that the postcard has been cut down to size. The text that has been left intact reads, "Los Angeles Cal, December 27, 1913. Dear Friend- I will send you a copy of myself in my street car suit. I was going to have it taken with my hat on but I changed my mind. Your friend, John."

Three names have been provided for the boys but it cannot be stated with certainty to whom they apply. Second from right is P. J. Agerskov Petersen. Second from left is Marius Christensen, followed by Jens Berndt. The wagon and mules belong to Chris Petersen, who may or may not be in the picture. Behind them, there is a train with the Southern Pacific logo and insignia on various parts of its metal frame. Near the back wheel of the wagon is a tightly-packed sack; presumably, one of the cotton bales. A second mule-drawn wagon can be seen behind them on the far right.

Isaacson Gin Company
Photograph of the Isaacson Gin Company, a cotton gin in El Campo, Texas, taken from a high angle and from a distance, capturing the entire structure and the surrounding homes that surround it. Several horse-drawn wagons are moving in a procession in an arc formation from the south-facing wall of the gin to the north-facing one. Groups of men can be seen directing them. Others are seen on the ground and on platforms near the cotton bales. The gin itself is a large two-story structure with gable roofs and a large pole extending from the direction of the smaller roofs.
