Letter from John J. Herrera to Lindley Beckworth, dated January 26, 1966, asking for his help getting President Lyndon B. Johnson to recognize the work of the League of United Latin American Citizens and proclaim the week of February 13 - 19, 1966 to be National LULAC Week. Also contains a handwritten note from Herrera recalling his memory of meeting Beckworth when President John F. Kennedy spoke at the LULAC Banquet on November 21, 1963.
