The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an interview with David Glenn Cooke, Jr. Cooke joined the Marine Corps in 1943. He completed boot camp in San Diego, then was assigned to the Naval Air Station in Norman, Oklahoma, where he trained as an ordnance ground crewman.
