Description: The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an oral interview with Roy Holland Elrod. Elrod was born in Muleshoe, Texas in 1919 and was raised on a farm. Between semesters at Texas A&M and summer school at Texas Tech, Elrod worked in construction before joining the Marine Corps in September, 1940. He trained in San Diego.
