Beck describes the preparations for the transfer of Oswald and lining up the police cars outside the basement. He states that he was helping direct a car back up closer to the basement when he heard a shot fired, and he went into the Jail Office to find Oswald lying on the floor.

Description: Report on Officer's duties by E. R. Beck, in regards to Lee Harvey Oswald's murder. Beck states that he was assigned to drive the lead car during the transfer of Oswald to the jail, and had trouble lining up the cars because of TV cameras and the press. Once at the jail, he heard a shot fired when Detective Dhority was backing Captain Fritz's car into position. He then followed the ambulance to Parkland Hospital, and later helped transfer Jack Ruby from the jail.
