- The stock of the die is rectangular shaped with two long handles that come out opposite sides. One handle is part of the rectangle while the other screws on to tighten or loosen the five dies inside the stock. The rectangular part of the stock has a 10.5 cm X 2.7 cm rectangular opening into which the dies fit. On the dies are several engraved numbers. A 7 is marked at the top of all five dies and on the 1st,3rd,4th and 5th are marked 10, 12,14,16. Above the die is a stamp: BUTTERFIELD & CO DEP BY LINE, V1. ROCK ISLAND. P.a Below them is written: No 32 B.

The one further away from the blade is 2 cm in diameter and is stamped with H Disston & Sons Philada With a little emblem in the center. The other is 1.2 cm in diameter and is plain. The blade is most likely the original because it has been engraved with the same names.

- Soldering iron with a copper plated head, four sided with a pyramid point, with an octagonal body of head. At the back of the head there is a long painted black iron neck that has been inserted into the head. The neck ends in a point. The wooden handle is removable and fits over the pointed end of the neck. It is a turned handle that split in half and been repaired with black electrical tape. There is also metal wire wrapped around the base of the handle where the split originated. Three nails are inserted up into the base of the handle around the hole for the neck.

- Strop with a wooden core two padded leather sides parallel to each other, one side is unpadded leather, and the fourth side is inset with a hone. One of the padded sides has a 6 cm hole exposing cotton, same side is missing three nails and is torn.

- Cylinder tape measure with the top and bottom painted maroon in the center of the top is a brass folding flush handle which extends to the other side and looks like a button. The edge is painted gold and has a square opening with two cylinder posts that help the linen tape pull out. The tape is supposed to be 100ft long, but the 1st two inches have been torn off. The linen is yellow and is divided into feet, inches and fourths. Each foot starts over with 1 and instead of a 12 written in red is a F1, F2, F3, etc. Other than that, all lettering is in black. On both sides of the opening for the tape are stamps, on the right upside down is Lufkin / Made in the USA; on the left upside down is 100FT.

- Hand-cranked kerosene pump. "ENTERPRISE SELF PRIMING & MEASURING PUMP" is cast into one side of the spigot. "ENTERPRISE MFG. CO. PHILADELPHIA USA" is cast into the reverse side of spigot. "PAT. JAN. 18 1898, PATENTS PENDING" on side of gauge; "NO.97" on reverse side of gauge. Pump volume can be set between 1-4 qt. On top of head with a manual dial. Pump crank has a wooden handle.

- The basic shape is a T of the nutcracker. The top part of the T is the actual nut cracking contraption. It is set up similar to a vice with a T-shaped handle that screws. The socket through which the handle screws has OIL written in relief lettering. Underneath the place for the nut , written in relief is Patented / Perfection Nut Cracker. On the exact opposite side is written Branford Conn. / Mall. Iron Ittings Co. Next to the latter is written vertically MODEL 28. Below this section with lettering is another vice, much small, used for stabilizing the nut cracker to a table. The screw handle is T-shaped as well. The screw is bent a little at the bottom and does not screw in all the way.

- Soldering iron with a wooden handle with a wire holding it together to keep it from cracking, which it has already begun to do. From the handle is a thin neck that ends with the head which is octagonal with copper covering a steel base.

Belonged to Amos Edward Stanton (1850-1921), who came to west Houston in 1900. Date range of 1880-1910 extrapolated from Stanton's life dates.

- Counter-mounted butcher paper cutter. Wooden dowel which held paper roll rests in u-shaped brackets at each end of cutter. Spring-loaded straightedge provides a tearing surface. Unit has holes in base for mounting to counter. Base is braced on one side with a flat metal strip (.5" x 24.4 "); other side is held by a piece of wire. Top of unit is made from a flat wooden bar. (a) is main part. (b) is wooden dowel.
