Photograph (copy) of "A. See Farm" as written in white across the bottom of photo. Amuel See's farm was located about 6 miles out of Rosenberg (as typed on back of photo). Picture shows a large group of young people picking cotton in a cotton field. The cotton sacks are visibly hanging from shoulder to waist and then to the side or behind them (not everyone has a cotton sack, the very young children, of course, do not have one). Photograph of the Bassett Home that was located at the corner of Jackson Street and Sixth Street. It was the home of Clem and Libbie Bassett. A bay window is found at the north east end of house and another on the west side. A railed balcony rests above the bay window at the west side. White picket fence surround north and west sides of the house. Two women (holding parasols) are standing behind a group of children that are sitting on the ground. An African-American man is standing near the picket fence. A man and woman are standing near the front porch of the house and a woman is sitting in a bay window on west end of house. [Beasley Depot - The Macrenia Railroad]
Photograph (copy) of the Beasley Depot. The depot was on the New York, Texas & Mexican Railway which was nicknamed the "Macaroni Line" since it was constructed largely by Italian immigrant workers. The railway was later purchased by the Southern Pacific Railroad. The depot is a one story wooden building painted with light colors and dark trim. A sign reads: BEASLEY on the east side of the building. Crowd of people are gathered outside of the building. A locomotive is seen on the far right of photo. Train tracks in foreground.
