Dallas Water Utilities Records, 1882-1990 - Photographic Materials Series
History
Founded in 1881, the Dallas Water Utilities is a non-profit water and wastewater service for the City of Dallas, Texas. It began as the City of Dallas Waterworks when the City purchased a privately-owned water company that had been providing Dallas with water since the 1870's. The collection includes almost 200 photographs from the 1900's depicting various water plants, construction projects, dams, and other various activities.
